Skip Armstrong A&E Cover Study
The 3 composite images below show the relationship between your original AI image and the enlargement required for the magazine cover. The enlargements came out remarkably well. But the original you supplied had AI artifacts that altered the original photo you took. Those artifacts become more visible when enlarged. At the end of this page I show my edit of your original photo of the Bears, at the correct size for the magazine, using AI to only add a background. Big difference.
I used each of these images to mock up 3 versions of a Cascade A&E Cover so you could see why I said the Bear and the Horses were not as dynamic. Of course it would not be proper to send the mock-ups to Marcee, but I wanted you to see how Marcee might view the submissions. She knows how to make dynamic covers, so giving her good material will result in better options. I know the work of the other two artists that have been recommended for consideration and they both produce very colorful and dynamic art. So what you submit will determine what Marcee selects.
I edited two of your original photos without any AI assist. Then I added to the full size images an AI enhancement for the backgrounds. There is no distortion of the original images. Then I put that images on a covers, just for comparison.
